he Vancouver Lions Foundation is the official charitable arm of the Vancouver Lions Club. It is organized as a Washington non–profit corporation and is also qualified by the United States Internal Revenue Service as a §501(c)(3) charitable organization.

The Vancouver Lions Foundation helps the Vancouver Lions Club improve the lives of people in the greater Vancouver, Washington community through grants and donations to individuals and other charitable organizations, and around the world through its support of the Lions Clubs International Foundation.

The Foundation is funded from fundraising activities sponsored by the Vancouver Lions Club, and from private donations and contributions. The Vancouver Lions Club pays all costs of administering and operating the Vancouver Lions Foundation.

The Vancouver Lions Foundation focuses it's monetary support in the five broad categories of need identified by Lions Clubs International Association:

  • Vision;
  • Hearing;
  • Diabetes;
  • Hunger;
  • Environment.

Grants from the Vancouver Lions Foundation have paid for scholarships to send diabetic children to summer camps such as Camp Leo, helped fund the purchase of hearing aids for the hearing impaired, helped fund optometric and other sight assistance to persons who can not afford sight care, paid for visually impaired students to attend weight lifting competitions, goal ball tournaments, and other education and development–related activities, helped fund the replacement of HVAC equipment at a local non–profit school serving blind and visually impaired students, and many other humanitarian needs.
